Clients included Lam Research, Asyst, Credence, Mattson Technologies, Washington Mutual, Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad, Charter One Bank, Soka University, Brocade Communications, and Valeant Pharmaceuticals.

Directed all profit and loss aspects of Fluor’s facility management operating company’s Western United States Regional Office (Facility & Plant Services). Marketing activities included sales efforts, speeches, proposal development, and presentations for facility management and maintenance projects. Operations work included facility management and maintenance services, facility engineering, capital projects, warehousing, and administrative support services in a cost effective and professional manner. Work activities included project start-up, safety, contract negotiation and execution, and client alignment meetings. Clients included IBM, Hewlett-Packard, Digital/Compaq, Nissan, TRW, State Farm Insurance, Mazda, Lincoln Mercury, McDonnell Douglas, Altavista, Lawrence Livermore Labs, and Fluor’s headquarters. Prior position at Fluor was Director of Marketing Services.

As co-owner and co-founder of this company, was responsible for strategic and operational oversight of a company that provided management consulting for private and public clients. The company was one of the first companies to develop maintenance management and scheduling software for personal computers. The company also sold third party accounting proprietary software for businesses. Examples of studies included procurement analysis, organizational reviews, efficiency and effectiveness studies, and cash management studies. The company was sold in 1987 and still exists today.

My duties included leading or participating with consulting engagements relating to procurement, cash management, and organizational reorganizations. Managed a small staff of two consultants and partnered with a so senior consultant conducting consulting engagements in the Southeast.

Tallahassee, Florida

Took a 9 month appointment in the Governor's Office of Administration to be the Project Manager for the "Governor's, Science, Engineering and Technology Study funded by the National Science Foundation. The scope of the project was to identify multidisciplinary issues relating to science, engineering, and technology that had an impact on the state and to recommend and approach for the State of Florida to manage, develop legislation, and implement a program for solving those multi-disciplinary issues that needed State involvement. Published a report in April of 1979 that was submitted to the Governor and subsequently published.

Tallahasse, Florida

Responsible for planning and budgeting for the State Purchasing Office for the State of Florida which regulated over 200 state purchasing offices within the State of Florida. Responsible for coordinating legislative affairs and State cabinet affairs for the State Purchasing Director. Managed the State Purchasing Bidders list, interfaced with the State Department of Legal Affairs to detect price fixing patterns, and responsible for administrative support activities for the State Purchasing Office. Coordinated the follow up of results from the State Commodity Test Lab.
