As a Finance Specialist I assist the CFO in a variety of tasks regarding Finance and HR. I help prepare, manage, and submit payroll, which includes configuring commissions and bonuses. I run regular reports that reflect the company's finances as a whole, by departments, and then upload the information to our spreadsheets. I then help forecast future finances using historical data. Another aspect I help with is sending invoices to customers and pay invoices to other businesses.I also help onboard new employees by sending them their documentation, uploading the information into various databases, and submitting their varied government forms.

Part of my responsibilities was planning Open House events where prospective students could come and apply to Utah Valley University. It was a great environment that allowed students and parents to ask questions and get excited about college.

As a grader, I was in charge of grading and scoring all of the AP essays for the AP World History class (about 400 students). The students had four different essays throughout the year as part of the curriculum and in preparation for the AP exam. I graded the essays based off of a rubric that would help them know if they would pass the AP exam or not. I also made sure to add notes and suggestions in order to help them improve. I then reviewed my work with the teacher and went over any essays that needed additional attention.
