I have always understood numbers. Maybe it is genetic. Accounting must be in my blood. My mom was an accountant. 3 of my 4 brothers are accountants. The 4th brother? .... he is a statistician. Maybe I should have realized my genetic career destiny sooner in life. In college, I chose to study Human Biology (premed). Although I graduated with honors I had no aspirations of going to med school. After working for a few years I chose to be a mom (who also dabbled in fitness). I thrive in fast paced environments with opportunities to improve processes and take on extra projects aside from my daily duties. I'm the person who takes on and completes the overwhelming project no one else has wanted to tackle. I thrive where others see boring minutia. I enjoy knowing the small details while tying them to the bigger picture. I like to understand each working part that drives the whole. Investigating, pinpointing, and correcting errors in the General Ledger is rewarding for me. The answers is always in the numbers if you have the patience to meticulously analyze them.
