For most of my professional life, I have worked with computers and software in one form or another. I have built countless websites and services for projects, companies, organisations, friends, and myself and I take great joy in all aspects of the process – amounting to more than 20 years of experience in full-stack web development.I can use any computer, operating system and software, including troubleshooting, scripting and programming, as well as configuring, administrating, and automating servers and provisioning. I also write, publish, design, and edit content for the web, and can edit graphics, sound and video from raw material to finished export. I’m a skilled user of most of the popular media creation and editing software.I have spent significant time migrating legacy systems and integrating them with modern stacks in a seamless fashion. Tech debt cleanup may not be the most enjoyable aspect of development work but it is an essential fact of life in almost any tech-driven organisation, whether admitted or not.I'm philosophically aligned with the free and open-source software movement, which was very influential in my choice of career, helped me learn professional software engineering early in life, and inspired my thinking around the potential of software to positively shape society.My previous academic background is in Cinema Studies at Stockholm University, obtaining a bachelor’s and a master’s degree, both with an A grade. My master’s thesis was on the subject of cyborgs and human/machine representations in film. My bachelor’s thesis was on graphical adventure games as a volatile medium. Most of my elective courses were in art history.I like genre movies, cake, and music from the ’70s.🌴🌴🌴
