As a Refugee Guidance Counselor for Complementary Pathways, I work closely with refugees to guide and direct skilled refugees to education and employment opportunities in a third country, in addition to counseling on family reunification abroad. Complementary pathways are established to serve multiple purposes, including easing the pressure on host states, enhancing refugee self-reliance, building capacities for durable solutions, and expanding third-country opportunities. I was specialized in:- Coordination with Caritas/UNHCR and VDT’s mobile team for any activity related to cash for health.- Receiving internal referrals from VDT’s mobile team for potential beneficiaries eligible for CFH.- Liaise with Caritas and UNHCR to receive the referral of potential beneficiaries that are in needof financial support to access health services.- Follow-up with the administrative steps to ensure the cash transfer through the disbursementmodality defined by VDT.- Update and share on a biweekly basis the database containing the relevant information requiredto proceed with the payment with field coordinator and PM.- Update the required information for each beneficiary on the health module or of the RISplatform and on VDT’s internal database.
