Mandy is a Patent Attorney and member of the Intellectual Property & Technology Service Group. Her practice focuses on intellectual property protection strategy, including counseling clients on infringement, validity and patentability, transfer of intellectual property, patent drafting, and patent prosecution. Contributing to her practice is a scientific background in chemistry and experience with academic and commercial research in the areas of biochemistry, biotechnology, and pharmaceutical sciences.

The Intellectual Property (IP) Section of the Kentucky Bar Association (KBA) was established on July 1, 2023, with a mission to provide information, foster a supportive environment, and promote diversity and inclusion in intellectual property law. We accomplish this through a range of KBA-sponsored programs that cover all aspects of IP, including patents, trademarks, trade secrets, and copyrights. Our goal is to create a collaborative forum that offers assistance in the rapidly evolving field of Intellectual Property Law. We engage with other KBA Sections and take positions on matters of public interest that affect intellectual property. By disseminating information, our aim is to enhance public understanding of Intellectual Property Law and collaborate with relevant organizations across the state to raise awareness. Join us as we work together to advance the field of intellectual property and foster a diverse and inclusive community.

Mandy serves on the Board of Advisors, helping to support KYIPA’s mission to foster an effective ecosystem and marketplace to facilitate the creation, protection, and advancement of intellectual property in Kentucky by serving as a connecting organization for statewide companies, organizations, and innovators. KYIPA follows the USIPA’s pillars of IP Awareness & Education, IP Ecosystem Collaboration, and IP Diversity & Inclusion to support a thriving, IP-supported community.

Mandy serves on the Legal Aid Society, Justice for All Campaign Committee, supporting the annual fundraising efforts necessary to fund the mission of the Legal Aid Society. Founded in 1921, Legal Aid Society's mission is to make justice accessible to all, regardless of financial status. LAS provides free civil legal help on issues related to income, family, housing, safety, and health.

Tracing its roots to 1871, St. Agnes Parish was given parochial status in 1885, and began to be served by the Passionists in 1885. The present Passionist monastery was built in 1906 and included a public chapel. Construction of the current church, adjacent to the monastery, began in 1927. The Passionists continue to serve the Saint Agnes Community today. Saint Agnes School was opened in 1914 under the direction of the Sisters of Charity of Nazareth, and continues to serve today in its traditions of faith, community, and academic excellences. Saint Agnes School is a four-time National Blue Ribbon Schools Award recipient by the U.S. Department of Education and a United States Department of Education designated Green Ribbon School.

Mandy served as Chair for the Stites & Harbison 2021 Diversity & Inclusion Task Force announced by the Firm Chair for identifying and recommending priority actions to invigorate execution of the Stites & Harbison Diversity Action Plan.

Mandy served as a member of Stites & Harbison's Management Committee from 2016-2020.
