Here's where I date myself right out of existence (in the eyes of most "shops" where they think you have to be 25 to do cool work). Yes, ladies and germs, ageism is a very real thing in Tinsel Town, even if you're just a big kid at heart, work behind the scenes and don't look freakin' 65. Anyway, I was one of the FIRST Photoshop pros in Hollyweird back in the day. I prettified and fixed the faces and bodies of some of the biggest names in the biz (I used to tell people I worked on Demi Moore's crotch—and it's true*). My retouching chops (and eye) can still get the job done (modestly fully aside) better than most. Eventually, I was doing everything from movie poster design to DVD packaging, web development to video production, interface design to motion graphics, branding to marketing. Industries I worked in include entertainment (duh), automotive, games and comics, mom and pop marketing and much more. Over the years, I moved up from mere Retoucher / Graphic Designer to full Creative Director. My work was mostly in a freelance/contract capacity for agencies big and small, though I was full time for various stints in a few "name" organizations (i.e. studios, such as Sony, MGM, Rysher, etc.).
