It's been a journey from a small town where no one knew what programming is to becoming an applauded engineer. Imposter syndrome did hit me with my first job. But, blessed with great team I sparkled. In past years as engineer I have built small single page applications to complex applications used by millions. I have acted as the master key(a resource who is answer to all problems), Mr. enabler(the mentor who enables interns to take on more responsibilities and build confidence in them) and as an outcast(a resource who works in the dark behind the scenes). People talk about being best a particular technology or stack but my job is to solve problem no matter the stack or technology. I have worked on React, Angular, bare HTML websites or even EJS old school server applications switched to python then back to Javascript. I am up for anything. If I don't know a technology I take some time and learn it to get things done. My latest challenge was to build a NestJS application deployed using AWS infrastructure. I didn't had a clue of AWS and NestJS. Me and my teammate together we managed to release 3 successful phases and the final phase will be released in coming months.

As part of Nagarro I worked with enterprise clients who have a very different level of development requirement. Enterprise clients don't just want things to work they want perfection in everything you do. One of the clients assigned me a ReactJS application revamping project. The idea was to break down the website into simpler reusable components thereby improving the codebase and optimizing it such that it can score higher on performance metrix. After that I joined another enterprise client who required development of a payment interface. The payment interface was to be built on NestJS and AWS based on a serverless and microservices, monorepo architecture. The code structure and initial setup was quite complex to build but highly scalable as any enterprise project should be.

I used this opportunity to establish my own web development firm. And the story is quite interesting but I eventually failed. My startup lasted for 2 months. And just when it ended I secured a job at Nagarro within a week. What happened? I built a e-learning application just like Udemy within 2 months that's a short deadline I know. But, I didn't do it alone I hired 3 students for an internship and acted as their lead assigned them tasks gave a project demo to a client. Fixed all the bugs that these freshers introduced and guide them at the same time on how to proceed when they are stuck. It was quite a good experience. I learned that I can be a good mentor. Learned to be patient, and more compassionate. Also, this opportunity helped me understand that I am a good leader under pressure. I mean meeting such a short deadline does mean something for my leadership skills. -
