Overall responsibility for all outsourced production which accounts for 15-20% of the company's sales. In addition, I also have responsibility for all board, steel, film and other miscellaneous commodities that encompass about $45-50 million of raw material purchases. I manage a team of 11 people across the US, Mexico and China. Activities include pricing negotiations, production planning, all service and inventory metrics, inflation and productivity projects, NDAs, Supply Agreements, product sourcing, new product launches, new supplier development, etc.

Responsible for teams in Mexico, China and the US overseeing the planning, purchasing and shipping of $70-80MM of purchased finished product and $45-50MM of Raw Materials supporting four different businesses.

Responsible for the procurement and distribution of all product where Avery made the decision to outsource manufacturing. Distribution models included Direct Import or Avery network.

Responsible for 45% of all Raw Material purchases for the Office Consumer Product Division of Avery Dennison and the development of Lean practices at key Asia suppliers.Starting in 2010 I took over responsibilities for the steel, film and board commodities. My role involves 1) managing the entire supplier relationship, 2) developing and executing commodity strategies using A3 thinking metodolgy, 3) negotiating contracts and pricing agreements, 4) improving supplier planning proceses and 5) developing Lean practices at key suppliers to speed the supply chain to Avery plants.During the past two years responsible for 60% of all productivity savings in Office Products by leading cross functional teams focused on savings from spec changes, sourcing changes and Lean deployment at suppliers. Overall portfolio spend in the past two years has been reduced over 10% as a result of these efforts while service to all plants has been at 100%.
