Patrick Manuel is a principal with Compass Training Solutions, LLC. Patrick’s first industry experience came in the mid-1990s as a business applications trainer. He delivered training primarily on the Microsoft Office suite of products. By the late-1990s, Patrick was recruited by a client, Wyeth Pharmaceuticals, where he worked for seven years as a training lead within information technology, clinical data management, and clinical education & training. Patrick was directly involved in new hire orientation, business process and systems training. While Patrick enjoyed instructor-led training, he became immersed in e-learning development, starting with small projects for internal departments, then eventually toward deployment of e-learning projects with global audiences. In 2004, Patrick left Wyeth to work as an independent consultant. Leveraging expertise in both instructor-led training and e-learning development, he formed Compass Training Solutions, LLC. Today, Compass has expanded its breadth of projects from pharmaceutical to other industries such as telecommunications, heavy industry, utilities and banking.
