Las Vegas, Nv, Us

Us Representative

Lieusaint, Fr

I currently serve as the US Representative for Aristide, a 2004-founded French company which specializes in lighting designs and aromatherapy for retail spaces and showrooms. I represent Aristide throughout its US business, fielding all incoming regional calls and contacts while also liaising with North American clients in New York, Las Vegas, and beyond.

Us Representative

La Ricamarie, France, Fr

I have served as the US representative for UNICUM since mid-2021. In this capacity, I've assisted the French manufacturer of pool-cover motors in establishing its North American subsidiary, Uni Pool Motor, and reaching prospective clients across the US and Canada. Uni Pool Motor manufactures its low-voltage pool-cover motors in a facility just outside of Atlanta, Georgia.

Vice President Of Technology

San Francisco, California, Us

For over 12 years now, I have served as the Vice President for Internet of Things (IoT) at the European-American Enterprise Council (EAEC), a member-driven social enterprise which aims to promote transatlantic cooperation, collaboration, trade, and investment between European and North American companies. As part of this role, I have advised a number of European and American firms on how to effectively mobilize emerging technologies in the IoT space, such as smart devices and cloud-based electronics, to further their business development and remain competitive in key markets on both sides of the Atlantic.Through the scope of my EAEC role, I have also been responsible for liaising with US-based universities and Fortune 500 companies in the creation of startup incubators and funding summits across the West Coast.

Founder

Legara Llc

I founded Legara LLC in 2011 with the aim of bridging the transatlantic gap between technology startups and investors. For twelve years, I advised European tech start-ups seeking to enter the North American market, leveraging my local connections and decades of experience as a European entrepreneur who had previously successfully relocated to the US. Under my leadership, Legara advised firms from across the European Union and US on their worldwide distribution strategy. The company also served as an angel investor in a number of technology and mining companies in Nevada, as well as a consultant for European investors seeking innovative investment opportunities in and around the Las Vegas area.

2011 - 2021 ~10 yrs

Co-Founder

Las Vegas, Nv, Us

I co-founded Bartech Systems in Paris in 1991 alongside two partners to address a gap in the minibar sector of the hospitality industry. Over the course of twenty years, I served as the Executive Vice President of Sales and Business Development, overseeing twelve sales managers and growing Bartech to the undisputed global leader in automatic minibar systems. In my time at Bartech, we installed over 320,000 high-end smart minibars across 53 countries in hospitality properties ranging from cruise ships to casino resorts to high-end and boutique hotels. I personally opened and recruited for the company’s European offices in Paris, London, and Frankfurt (1991-1998) before then moving to the US to open three additional offices in New York, Annapolis, and Las Vegas (1998-2003) and oversee personnel recruitment. My primary mandate lied in direct sales, including closing the firm’s largest deal at the time, a $6.5 million account with the Las Vegas City Center, though I also oversaw the Bartech worldwide distribution network. I was also in charge of providing system specifications for tailor-made, customer-oriented product development, innovating (for example) through the invention of an online double-door minibar.

Sep 1991 - Feb 2011

Managing Director

General Dynamic Group

Global Design Group (GDG) was a Swiss design company specializing in custom sport-design t-shirts and sweatshirts. In my two years at the firm, I reorganized the sales and purchasing department and streamlined operations, becoming the Managing Director (and a partner) in the process. While at GDG, I managed to optimize an inefficient printing factory which was bleeding the company dry, dealing with high Swiss labor costs but nonetheless implementing a rapid turnaround which turned the factory profitable within four months. I eventually left GDG to found my own firm in the hospitality technology industry.

Jul 1988 - Dec 1990

Global Purchasing Manager

Noga Group

Now defunct, the Noga Group was a Swiss real estate company which built, owned, and operated various Hilton-branded hotels while also serving as a commodity importer-exporter. In my nearly five years at Noga, I served as Global Purchasing Manager for all technological products needed in the firm’s various hotel and civil projects across Europe and Africa. Working with vendors and clients in England, Germany, and Italy, I handled the procurement of technical goods and heavy machinery such as Caterpillar tools, special cameras, marble tiles, fluorescent tubes, and other miscellaneous goods.I eventually was asked to run the company’s Nigerian office in Lagos, where I audited the construction of the Hotel Noga Hilton Abuja and oversaw the local sales of technical products purchased under various import licenses. This latter task involved negotiating with the Bureau Veritas of various European countries of origin in order to secure a Clean Report of Findings for various goods, a necessary document for any importer at the time attempting to secure full payment by local African governments. The Noga Group was eventually dissolved in the 2000s, two decades after my departure.

Sep 1983 - Feb 1988

Director

Lumiverre is a Swiss business which has designed, manufactured, and installed metal false ceilings and technical lighting systems for over 50 years. I joined the business in 1976 following the completion of my military service, and within a few years had moved up to become a partner and the director of all firm operations. Over the course of my time at Lumiverre, I developed an extensive familiarity with the ins and outs of the construction, sound engineering, and electricity industries. I was also able to successfully manage a large partner factory located in Morocco for a time, overseeing the logistics of product manufacturing and delivery to the Geneva headquarters.
