The Assistant Director of Operations & Maintenance plans, organizes, directs and coordinates campus operations and maintenance of the Facilities Management Department, including general maintenance, housing maintenance, grounds, detail and irrigation shops, and coordinates projects involving campus infrastructure and exterior facilities. Responsible for all daily activities related to these functions of the University, such as planning and scheduling workload, all aspects of personnel management, purchase of supplies and equipment, preventative maintenance, inventory, and expenditure control, customer relations, and managing contracted work for roughly 3 million square feet of facilities and 125 acres of landscape areas. Coordinates the maintenance and capital projects of the existing 1.7 million square feet of parking lots on campus, which consist of (8) structures and (38) surface lots. Direct oversight of the snow removal operations at the University and insures that staff are adequately trained and equipped to respond appropriately to weather conditions and needs of the University community. The position maintains data files of maps, drawings and specifications for the campus and serves as the liaisons with the Department of Geography on the Geographic Information Systems (GIS) project to map the physical attributes of the University.

The Budget Officer is responsible for leadership, oversight, coordination and assessment of all fiscal, human resources and assigned new construction and renovation projects within the Department of Facilities Management & Planning.The Budget Officer serves as the primary contact and liaison for division-wide budget and planning with the University Budget and Planning Office. This includes responsibilities for assistance with the planning and development of the Departmental budget of approximately 4 million in revenue and 24.5 million in expense. The Budget Officer provides coordination and management for all Departmental Human Resources functions for approximately 250 employees. The Budget Officer serves as a key member of the Departmental Safety Committee.

Direct responsibility for budgeting administration and maintenance management of (2) Public Assembly Facilities, (202) units of University Real Property, and the University owned Greek houses.Maintained records and provided a variety of information and data from the respective areas of responsibility which were utilized in the overall assessment of the Department’s efficiency and productivity. Coordinated, supervised, and inspected project management contracted work totally over $100 million.

Executed business and operations plans of the Daniel L. Ritchie Center for Sports and Wellness. Oversaw revenues of $2 million associated with event sales annually. Managed NCAA Division I events, Concerts, National and International Sporting Events, High School State Championships, Graduations and Cermonial Events.
