I have been honored with the privilege of leading work in several spaces. I've been a classroom teacher, school site principal, and county coordinator. Love, Courage, and Community are values that I've held in those spaces throughout my career. I'm intentional in the design of the work, push myself to consider how space dynamics operate, and adjust accordingly. I believe in efficiency, strategy, and accountability. In my current role as Coordinator III in the Center for Advancement of Racial Equity (CARE), I support the development of the unit and the strategies and practices to improve inclusivity within and outside my organization. I deliver and attend professional development, which has resulted in the advancement of my adult learning strategies and content development. As a teacher, principal, and PBIS coordinator, I led positive interventions and developed systems for coaching leadership and instruction. I delivered content to various learning modalities (AP, Elective, Core content, Advisory). In my role as a PBIS coordinator, I oversaw the California Integrated Service Project grant, which aimed at integrating SEL, Cultural Responsiveness, and Trauma-informed practices into PBIS systems, which enhanced my awareness and strategy in leading district-level initiatives revolved around Multi-tiered systems and supports.
