About Marco Hernandez

Is it not a pleasure to put to practice that which was learned? Confucius was right. Is it not a pleasure providing intellectual property to my employers.I have always wanted to exploit my skills in the Medical Device world and with another chance of luck landed a three month contract that extended to over 20 months at Boston Scientific, I could not ask for more.I have been fortunate to be employed in the fiber optics arena for many years helping develop cutting edge technology in the company of exceptional peers. My most recent dream job involved being part of a development effort in the Medical device arena that entailed applying my skill sets to set this endeavor in motion. In the early eighties I was part of a team of scientists, engineers & management leaders who developed fiber optic gyroscopes and other sensors. 20 plus years later I found myself again building a golf ball size 3-axis all fiber gyroscope for a small business entity with the same class of exceptional scientists and leaders as the fortune 500 company that spearheaded my career. My career began through a consistent attempt to work at Litton Guidance & Control Systems Canoga Park Ca. ( now Northrup Grumman) , as a kid of 18 years old straight out of high school (with electronics experience) I was fascinated by the size of Litton GC&S. Eventually the HR department got tired of seeing me almost every day as I even was willing to be a janitor. Finally I ended up working in a lab building starter boxes for Ring Laser Gyros. This lab was occupied by a new group through an investment with an ARCO / Stanford program via Edward L. Ginzton Laboratory ran by Dr. Herbert John Shaw (June 2, 1918 - January 19, 2006).The rest is history:Helped build & test the worlds first navigation grade all fiber Gyro that made it to the Smithsonian institute , manufactured various prototype gyros, supported various government programs relating to fiber gyro & sensors.

Listed skills include Fiber Optics, Optoelectronics, Photonics, Electronics, and 21 others.
