A few years ago I read how the web application industry was going client side MVC for optimal rendering and performance. The fact that you could have the client render everything and only require the server for sending and retrieving data was different from the way the application I worked on was written. I introduced this concept to my manager and now we always take page-rendering performance into account when considering new development. The faster I can make a page render the better user experience a client will have. Client side MVC really helps when it comes to SaaS (software as a service) applications. You don’t want your bandwidth being taken up by a bunch of markup you need to send back to the client.
