I'm responsible for recruiting and running Nano's engineering organization, with responsibility for delivering our cloud architecture, machine learning capabilities, embedded software, and web and mobile apps. In addition to my managerial duties, I occasionally take on architect, mentor, recruiter, product manager and evangelist roles as the need arises. As a member of the leadership team, I am regularly engaged in planning and strategy efforts and I work closely with the executive team.Nano's technology is built to help our customers acquire agency over their health data and their health future, using innovative AI techniques and inventive incentive models to create communities and capabilities that can't be found anywhere else.

I built and operated both local and offshore teams to advance Spredfast's industry-leading Social Relationship Platform, and worked hard to maximize the velocity, quality and satisfaction of those teams. I collaborated with business development, customer support, services, enablement, finance and sales to help make sure the teams were working on the right things at the right times, and that communication was flowing freely in all directions. I worked with customers, partners and vendors to ensure healthy, productive relationships. Perhaps most importantly, I identified, fostered and mentored leadership ability within my teams to build the next generation of leaders to ensure that the teams could scale with success.

Managed the development, QA and devops engineers that are responsible for Moxie's collaboration product. Created a team of talented software leads and developers – from the ground up – a cloud-based multi-tenant collaboration application for enterprises. The product is built for scalability, performance and reliability, with a special emphasis on back-end integration capabilities. The product comprehensively leverages the capabilities of the cloud (both private & AWS) and of modern document databases (MongoDB).

Led nGenera’s platform team (3-4 local, senior developers and a small off-shore team) in the design and development of a highly scalable, multi-tenant SaaS/cloud-based collaboration product named Collaboration Server. The team adhered to an agile development process.

I was the dev manager for a group of developers who built a suite of products capable of performing similarity searching across widely disparate databases. We deployed the suite to federal govt customers with huge scalability and performance requirements.
