Project manager as a consultant at Fagerhult

I work as a consultant within engineering and project management to help customers develop new products. Our strength is plastic parts as the company produce plastic tools and has five injection molding machines.At Kiwanotech I have has a consultant been responsible for the mechanics division at our customer company Coloreel. At this stage we worked to help the industrialize the product that colored thread for embroidery machines. My focus was to manage a team of engineers from 3 different companies and also to work with their subcontractors.Another project I have been a part was an engineer help our customer Separett with developing a new waterless and urine separetting toilett.

As a technical project leader, apart from working on my own engineering projects I was a support to my colleagues and reported the progress of all projects my team worked within the company. One of the largest projects was to review all metal parts at HAGS for change of powder coating process. Some products received small changes while some received a face lift like the bicycle roundabout.Most of the time at HAGS I worked as a New product development project leader and had the overall responsibility of the NPD process and report the status of all projects that was under development, reporting was done both locally within the company as well as to an international steering committee with participants from all Playpower companies. Examples of projects was facelift and introduction of the play features and materials to both the UniPlay and the UniMini product range. SharePoint was used to track the status of the projects according to the NPD process and like a platform to store and share all the project data.

My main work was to engineer and project manage tow ball mounted bike carriers. As a part of this I visited subcontractors in China and Poland. An example of another task was to design a new aluminum roof rack.
