Babcock International Group – Training Designer: In my current role I am responsible for managing and designing training courses within strict financial constraints in compliance with the Defence Systems Approach to Training for the RN and wider customer base; covering Early Training Analysis (Methods and Media), production of Formal Training Statement identifying Training and Enabling Objectives, production of Course Assessment Strategies and all supporting training material including Lesson Plans (I-Specs). My primary role within Training Support at HMS RALEIGH (based in the SE of Cornwall), is to conduct training analysis and develop quality training documentation to facilitate the delivery of training to the RN, RFA and RNR new recruits and advancement courses with a throughput of over 18,000 students per annum. In addition, i conduct comprehensive review and evaluation of training documentation, methods & media and assessments in order to identify opportunities for Continuous Improvement.At present I am developing modern learning technology solutions, including methods and media to produce new training courses for the Submarine Weapons Engineering Branch which includes critical safety and security processes, Personnel Administration, Officer’s Command School, and RNR. I also have experience with the military Training Administration and Financial Management Information System (TAFMIS) as a practitioner and am Learning Content Management System (LCMS) trained.
