Oversee fire system testing and maintenance activities, including indicating devices, heat detectors, fire sprinklers, smoke detectors, fire pumps, fire doors, emergency lighting test conducted by contractors, etc. Conduct fire inspections including but not limited to fire extinguishers, control valves, sprinklers, fire pumps, risers, specialty suppression systems, etc. Respond to emergencies such as fire, medical, hazmat and hazardous conditions, and support the onsite emergency response team. Review fire protection system plans and specifications for conformance with Raytheon and regulatory (NFPA, Factory Mutual, California Fire Code, OSHA Title 8) requirements. Review the site for unobstructed means of egress, along with proper exit signage. Enforce company safe practice rules and regulations by being proficient in interpreting the California, and NFPA Fire codes. Train the onsite hazmat response team, maintaining their 8hr annual refresher, and train the medical response team CPR/AED first aid while maintaining my instructor credentials.
