Reporting To Dr John Chappell, Regional Manager WA.Initially operating in the Pilbara with Dr Max Boots, Dr John Martyn, John Chellew and Tim Boddington and Cobbs Semple. Targeting Base metals using AEM to define conductors in permissive terrane.Refocussed in Uranium exploration especially Yellerie style deposits and Ranger-Jabiluka style deposits. Extensive search in the Yilgarn Shield, Gascoyne and Rudall regions of WA.The group, directed by Ray Dudley, discovered the Wiluna CENTIPEDE deposit, part of TORO's prospective mine.Uranium exploration terminated and refocussed on base metals.Commenced gold exploration and identified Southern Cross Marvel Loch district and Leonora district as having best potential for million ounce deposits. JV with BHP on the NEVORIA mine.Ultimately JV Initiated extensive exploration north of Teutonic Bore following that discovery by CEC. Almost discovered the Jaguar Deposit (aborted the drill hole ahead of mineralisation).Entered a JV with EZ and Aztec on Golden Grove belt, following the withdrawal of AMAX.Discovered the SCUDDLES zinc deposit and extended the resource at GOSSAN HILL.Initiated extensive base metals exploration in the Murchison in competition with significant major explorers. We failed to drill anything likely to become a significant deposit beyond Golden Grove.JV with CEC at Mt Magnet attempted to discover another Hill 50 or Morning Star gold mine.Base metal search extended to the Ashburton and Kimberley based on sedex style modelling.The Company did not succeed in discovering another worthwhile deposit and exploration was terminated in 1986

SOLE REPRESENTATIVE OF THE COMPANY IN WA.The Company had two active projects, one at Northampton near Geraldton for Lead zinc lode/vein mines and the other at Joy Helen in the Gascoyne known for secondary uranium minerals.With hindsight, there was no possibility of a worthwhile resource being uncovered at either project area.The Company made a reasonable bid to acquire the AMAX interest in Goden Grove Gossan Hill project but was unsuccessful.
