A dual trade qualified Electrical and Instrumentation (INLEC) Technician with +15 years in the mining and resources industries, the last 5 1/2 years with Rio Tinto at the ERA Ranger Mine in NT and Cape lambert in WA. Key Skills• Experience in the mining and minerals processing, oil and gas, renewable energy, industrial, commercial and domestic sectors• Current Electrical Fitter/Mechanic Licences for QLD, NT and WA• Certificate 3 in process plant operations • Certificates in electrotechnology, instrumentation and controls, hazardous areas electrical, HV switching and process plant operations• Specialise in the installation, calibration, inspection, testing, preventative and breakdown maintenance of E&I systems and equipment• Expertise reading and interpreting P&ID’s, schematics, I/O lists, cables schedules and AS/NZS 3000, 3008, 3017 and 60079 Standards• Ability to assimilate multiple technical tasks, and have excellent autonomous fault-finding, diagnostic and rectifications skills• SAP CMMS competent for work order tracking, task scheduling, historic maintenance recording and inventory managementTechnical Expertise:• Installation, termination, calibration, testing, inspection, programming and maintenance of pressure, level, flow, density, temperature, vibration, speed, weight, fire and gas detectors and transmitters, gas analyses, positioners, relays, controllers, safety critical and control valves, DCS, SCADA, PLC’s, SIS, UPS, VSD’s, MCC’s, substations, data and communications, single and 3-phase motors• Setting up and tuning control loops, installing ATEX and IECEx hazardous area certified cable glands, and highly experienced on conveyor systems, pumps, generators, Solar Taurus gas turbine compressors and Siemens gas turbine alternators• Utilising HART Protocol, Profibus and Modbus • HV switching and isolations
