Production Supervisor / Prepress Manager ---------------------------------------------------------Manage a 5 person print production team.Maintain workflow by monitoring steps of the process, monitoring personnel & resources, implementing cost reductions, and developing reporting procedures.Plan & assign work, implement policies & procedures & recommend improvements in production methods, equipment, operating procedures & working conditions.Review scheduled workload & timeline estimates to assure production goes according to customer need & manufacturing schedule.Work closely with vendors. Order supplies & manage the inventory for the company. Develop & implement training programs to upgrade the skills of production employees. Ensure proper equipment maintenance as related to safety, productivity, quality & service. Work closely with owner on employee issues, including but not limited to: hiring, disciplinary, promotion & termination issues.Open & close the company as needed, & set temporary changes in alarm arm times with the building security company. Work weekends & overtime as needed. Develop current prepress workflow to improve efficiency & consistency throughout the production process.Oversee & train prepress technicians. Keep abreast of new methods & procedures in order to keep the prepress department up to date. System Administrator------------------------------Responsible for installation/configuration operation & maintenance of systems hardware & software related infrastructure in both a windows & mac environment.Maintain, support, troubleshoot & expand LAN/WANEvaluate & test vendor supplied software packages to determine compatibility with existing systems, ease of use, maintenance & suitability for company need. Assist staff in day to day technical issues.Determine best hardware & software for future company needs.Enforces security procedures, installs network software & manages network performance.
