Joined Courtaulds Textiles in 1990 as an Industrial Engineer on the graduate training programme. Working in Leisurewear at Heanor & Worksop until moved to Liberty Fabrics in Virginia, USA for two years. Returned as a production manager at Long Eaton Fabrics in 1994 and worked there for 2 years.
