I supported the Head of Team to ensure the smooth operation of Arts Participation awards, schemes and initiatives. My responsibilities included:• Arts Administration: Coordinating panel meetings and assessments; reviewing guidelines and supporting policy development through research and data gathering; managing applicant queries throughout the awards process.• Project Management: Providing project management support for third party awards, schemes and initiatives, liaising closely with funded organisations including Create, Arts & Disability Ireland and Age & Opportunity. Reviewing project proposals, budgets and reports; drafting annual Performance Delivery Agreements; attending third-party award panels on behalf of the Arts Council.• Communications: Coordinating external and internal communications for the Arts Participation team. Developing and implementing a communications project plan for website, social media and news updates on Arts Participation.

As part of my MA programme, I completed a blended placement under the mentorship of museum registrar Felicia Tan. I acquired training in digitisation practices and Museum Standards Programme for Ireland and Spectrum standards – particularly in relation to collection documentation, cataloguing, loan agreements and facility reports. My responsibilities included:• Assisting with the exhibition rotation of ‘Edo in Colour’, gaining experience in art handling, preventative conservation, location and movement control of museum collections, and exhibition curation.• Addressing the documentation backlog, by updating object records and transferring information from Professor Arthur Arberry’s 1950s Catalogue of Arabic Manuscripts to the museum collections management system.• Assisting the curator of Islamic Collections and the Assistant Librarian with archival research, to establish the provenance of manuscripts from the collection that had been requested for loan internationally.I also met with the Education department and learnt about coordinating volunteer programmes, developing an education policy and programmes in response to the collection, building collaborations, and developing access programmes such as Azure dementia friendly tours.

I acted as the first point of contact for clients in Ireland. My responsibilities included: • Auction Administration: Cataloguing auction lots and insurance valuations; researching and writing catalogue notes on Irish art; drafting client contracts and paperwork; coordinating transport for consignments, lots purchased and preview lots for transfer between the Dublin office and international salerooms.• Client Relations: Developing strong external relationships with clients, artists, journalists, and museum professionals.• Events Management: Organising valuation days and auction previews in the Dublin office. Coordinating the transport and hanging of artworks; organising a wine reception on opening night; marketing the exhibition and managing invitations and RSVPs.• Communications: Marketing valuation days, auction previews, and invitations to consign. Creating content for adverts, e-blasts, social media and mailouts; writing press releases for the Irish media; managing the Bonhams Dublin office webpage.• Office Management: Fielding valuation enquiries; managing appointments and auction registrations.

I assisted with the planning, execution, and delivery of interdisciplinary programming at the MCA, working as part of a busy team of artists, vendors, technicians, curators and museum educators., and engaging with museum visitors during events. I was responsible for developing floor plans and coordinating logistics for events, facilitating walk-through meetings with artists in advance of events, and creating PowerPoint presentations for programmes. Other duties involved uploading and editing web content on the museum calendar of events online and processing travel, food and accommodation arrangements for guest speakers and performers.

I liaised with vendors and purchasers, researched consignments, and assisted with catalogue preparation, condition reports and auction registrations for 'The Collection of Nancy Wynne-Jones and Conor Fallon' and the 'Sunday Interiors' auctions. I also assisted with exhibition set-up for auction previews and for the 'George Campbell & The Belfast Boys' summer loan show.

I greeted all visitors to the gallery, recorded visitor numbers and provided information about exhibitions, including 'Mark Clare: Que Sais-Je?' and 'CROSSOVERSTAR. Dan Shipsides'.
