The project consisted in the development and maintenance of the backends related to the Booking flow for Amadeus Rail Department. The main goal was to implement new requirements given by the clients, integrate new providers and develop a REST API allowing clients to book through REST calls in addition to the existing legacy solutions.My responsibilities as Software Engineer included: Technical analysis, BE development, ticket management, application maintenance and, occasionally, quality assurance. The project consisted in the development and maintenance of an eCommerce/booking platform for a big player in the tourism and travel sector. The tasks carried out regularly were the analysis of client requirements, defining the technical specification and solutions with the IT department and the suppliers, estimating the required effort, development and deployment.
