Sonar Platform Lead for the Naval Los Angeles class (SSN 688/688I)submarines. Lead team of engineers responsible for all facets of Sonar testing expertise for the Acoustic Rapid COTS Insertion (ARCI) In-Plant Operational, Validation and Verification of multiple platform software and hardware configurations.

Lead systems and test engineer responsible for design and development engineering services for Submarine Combat/Acoustics electronic systems including Spherical and High Frequency Array, Bottom Sounding and Portable Weapon Launch Systems.

Responsibilities included providing electronic and mechanical design upgrades for a complex custom RF Receiver Versa Module Eurocard (VME) PCB, which included redesigning the band filtering section and providing complete schematic and PCB mechanical layout using Orcad™. PCB design incorporated a complex array of components (1600+ ) including PLCCS, PGAs and multiplexing circuitry and required precise placement on the PCB in order to minimize analog cross talk and maximize performance. Responsible for developing an Object Oriented software development program and plan to integrate medical monitoring and life support test equipment within multiple labs. Developed integration and implementation programs using C and C++ programming languages on an HP UNIX platform. Program designed with flexibility in mind; allowing maximum portability to other platforms. Performed complete system test, evaluation and integration.  Performed testing developmental tasks and managed interdepartmental failure reporting, analysis and corrective action programs for the Multi-Purpose Console (MPC), Transmit Group (SADS-TG), Unit Controller Group (UCG), AN/SQQ-89(V) and AN/BQQ-5(V) programs electronic control, power and sonar systems. Performed SPICE analytical modeling and reliability predictions in conformance with MILSTD-756 and MIL-HDBK-217. Analyzed fleet and in-house electronic failure trends, conducted failure investigations and instituted corrected action plans on various AN/BSY-1(V) unit and component level systems and sub-systems yielding corrective actions that resulted in improved performance.
