Each Summer, UWGB offers space for various local summer camps. As an employee of the Camps and Conferences Office, I am helping coordinate logistics with not only our day-campers, but our overnight campers, who have reserved space with the university to stay in our residence halls.

Resident Assistants (RAs) at MTU live in residence halls and create an inclusive community of residents. RAs achieve this by planning events for their community to go to, connecting residents with campus resources that they may need to succeed as students, and monitoring the daily lives of residents to ensure that everyone is respecting themselves and their shared living space.RAs also engage residents in what is knows as The Learning Model, a curriculum of wellness initiatives they teach to students living in their buildings. Some topics in The Learning Model include conflict resolution, identifying racial or otherwise bigoted bias, and proper sleep habits.

The Operations shop is responsible for the day-to-day operations of Information Technology.Operations Shop employees work in the IT Office imagining computers with the university’s customs images and installing software and hardware for deployment.Operations Shop employees also troubleshoot issues on-site, arriving at different university buildings to diagnose network connectivity issues and computer malfunctions.The entirety of the IT department uses the TeamDynamix ticketing system to manage timely resolution of issues. I have extensive experience writing workflow documentation on IT support tickets as a member of the Operations Shop.
