I've spent my entire career (37 years and counting) as a graphic designer, leaving college in 1987 to work at the prestigious Derek Forsyth Partnership in St. John's Wood, London, NW8 (Pirelli, Vauxhall, Liberty of London etc.). After two years, I moved to HeadStart Marketing in Goodge Street, London W1 (Bally, Pickford's Travel, British Rail etc.). After 18 months, I teamed up with the senior designer and we formed a partnership called Richochet Design, occupying offices off Old Street, London E1. I then left and set up my own company: Mark Austin Design (MAD), in offices in Chelsea Harbour, London SW10. After 7 years, I sold the company to a PR firm (Key Communications) as a going concern, but left after two years to set up my current firm, V-One Design (currently 24 years old). In all that time, I have worked across every graphic design discipline across branding, corporate identity, logo creation, illustration, direct mail, point-of-sale programs, packaging, POS, trade show exhibits, web banners and large format displays for clients of every size and in all the major countries in the world.
