Sole developer of digital imaging production system in Visual C++/MFC (design, develop, implementation, and support). The system maintains a database to track processing of orders. Each order contains multiple items (books, reels of film, etc.). The steps in the production system include scanning, image editing, metadata collection, optical character recognition (OCR), creation of digital image derivatives, and creation of final output to customer specification. Each item goes through all the steps and the database tracks the steps completed for each item. Project manager of all National Digital Newspaper Projects (NDNP) for which our company produced output for the states of Minnesota, Ohio, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Iowa (each state received multiple two year cycle grants from the NEH). Final data for the NDNP projects got shipped to Library of Congress. Database data load programs written in Visual C#. Coordinated large customer specific projects. Past projects include design and development of programs for CAD file language conversion, printer and plotter driver software, and various digital image display and editing software.
