Currently assigned to an engineering team (as a systems engineer) that supports the Integrated Shipboard Network System (ISNS) Operation Rolling Tide (ORT) initiative. This team is responsible for addressing issues and fleet concerns related to fielded applicable ISNS baselines associated with ORT. As issues or concerns arise, the engineering team analyzes the specific problem or request and if necessary develops an Engineering Change Request (ECR) to field a solution (software, documentation, patch, ect.). As part of the ECR process we provide ongoing support from sunrise to sunset on any ECR that is approved for work to help desk, sustainment teams and the direct customer. The primary customer that I support is the Program Management Warfare (PMW) 160 program office. Primarily I work on assets related to the Common PC Operating Environment (COMPOSE). The versions of COMPOSE that I regularly interact with is COMPOSE 4.0.0 and 4.0.1. Other duties within this task that I'm currently a part of include:- Providing support to the engineering team as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for PMW-150/PMW-120 related products. These products primarily include: o GCCS-M o GCCS-J o GCCS-I3 o TBMCS o JADOCS o DCGS-N o JMPS o C2PCI am also currently providing support to activities related to the Computer Network Defense-Operating System Environment (CND-OSE) group. This group is primarily in charge of deployment of security and IA policies/tools which include HBSS, and Security Scanning Software.When not supporting ISNS ORT I work with other analysts, engineers and business units to help design, implement and maintain a developmental lab environment to support all engineering tasks that Cabrillo Technologies is currently funded for. As an analyst/engineer I support the consultation, installation, implementation, and maintenance for aspects related to networking, hardware, software and security.

My relevant experience from Cabrillo Technologies carried over in May of 2021 when Cabrillo Technologies was acquired by Noblis. In addition to my previous role and duties I was performing at/for Cabrillo Technologies, in December of 2018 I moved to the Application Integration team as an Integration Engineer; as a member of this team my main role and responsibility was to assist a multitude of applications integrate into the Navy's Enterprise solution CANES (Consolidated Afloat Networks and Enterprise Services). Integration of these applications requires knowledge in many different areas of the Enterprise and a basic level of understanding as to what the applications are attempting to accomplish. The basic process involved with the integration of the products is as follows:- Analyzing and understanding requests from the application for services within the Enterprise- Configuring services; such as: building out VMs (interacting with multiple OSs), creating AD objects, configuring name services, Exchange requests, all network services (LAN and WAN), pre-staging and configuring custom GPOs, etc. within a test environment and while maintaining a secure environment for the entire Enterprise and all applications connected or hosted within the Enterprise- Assisting the applications during testing to update service requests, and re-configure any services if necessary in support of the application's test plan to ensure a successful test event.- Once testing is complete the team takes all "service request variables" and updates them within a proprietary database. Once all variables have been added the data can be compiled and output for use within a proprietary automated tool (mostly automated with Powershell scripts and Ansible playbooks) called the HACSIM (Hosted Application and Connected Systems Implementation Manual).- Once delivered the HACSIM can be used by the end-user or customer to automatically configure all services required by specific applications.

Duties include all aspects of systems and software engineering including requirements specification, analysis specification, design, development and verification. Involves extensive understanding of SOA principles, CMMI practices and software design patterns. Have participated in several projects and performed various tasks including:-Specific technologies and tools used include: MS Visio, MS Project, Java, J2EE, JBoss AS 5.0 and 7.0, RDBMS, MySQL, MySQL Workbench, PostgreSQL, OGC, Perl, REST, SOAP, WSDL, Ant, Maven, AutoHotKey, Subversion, GIT, Nexus, Tortoise SVN Repository Browser, Jenkins, GWT/GXT, SOAPUI, Hibernate, JUnit, Eclipse, NetBeans IDE, NotePad ++, GeoServer, OGC Services, OWF, ExactFile, Oracle VirtualBox, VMWare, VNC, Ansible, Atlassian Products (Confluence, JIRA, Fortify).- Providing software engineering support to SSC-PAC Code 532 Maritime GCCS Family of Systems (MGF), managing the configuration, licensing, and software duplication and distribution for multiple C4I programs such as MTC2, GCCS-M, GCCS-I3, GCCS-J, TBMCS, NAOC2.- Providing input for weekly status reports, develops technical briefs, and participates in project meetings.- Providing system administrative support to ensure systems used for the upload, storage, and retrieval of the Software Support Activity’s (SSA) CM requirements are available (to include virtual environments). - Providing support and maintenance of web/data servers and client machines as well as maintaining security accreditation of systems (ATO, C&A Support) (to include virtual environments).- Managing Linux user and administrative accounts, patching, installing and supporting virtual machines and applications. Performing security testing, scans, troubleshooting and updating security patch compliance in the Vulnerability Remediation Asset Manager (VRAM) and the Navy Online Compliance Reporting System (OCRS) databases.

Performed as the lead developer and integrator of Host Intrusion Prevention System (HIPS) version 7 and 8 HBSS policies and all required documentation for all GCCS-M variants.Performed the role as a consultant to the Consolidated Afloat Network and Enterprise Services (CANES) in relation to HBSS policies for GCCS-M in general. I’ve also participated in many GCCS-M related events such as:- A member of the team providing ongoing support for the USS Truman.- Helped troubleshoot the installation and operation of GCCS-M and HBSS during the CANES SIT event for Group Level and Force Level platforms.- Helped troubleshooting efforts of mine sweeper ships in Baharian. These efforts focused mainly on fixing issues with the MCM software.- Re-wrote all HBSS related documentation for GCCS-M and have been critical in providing HBSS related information to other groups within the Maritime GCCS-M Family of Systems (MGF) group in support of their documents.- Successfully integrated and developed documentation for CFn 4.0.3 into GCCS-M 4.1.0.5 and 4.1.1.0 and the upcoming GCCS-M 4.1.1.0 installation for the SUBOPAUTH sites.- Participated in the first GCCS-M Force Level installation for CANES onboard the USS Stennis.- Lead a "tiger team"/thinktank of engineers/consultants on creating new work within the MGF structure to start creating a GCCS-M software maintenance plan.- Created a GCCS-M training program within the company to help promote creating new subject matter experts and build cross-training.

- Performed installation and system administration on GCCS-M 3.X/4.X./4.1.X, TBMCS, GCCS-M FMS GCCS-J 3.X/4.X, GOTS-D, C2PC, COMPOSE 2.0.3, 3.0, 3.0.1, 3.5, and 4.0, JMPS, Gale-Lite, DCGS-N (operating systems – HP-UX 10.20, Solaris 5, Solaris 8, Solaris 10, Windows NT, 2000, XP, Vista, 7, Windows server 2000, 2003, 2003r2, 2008, 2008r2). System administration duties included: configuration and installation of hardware such as the CT900 blade chassis, configuration of vlans, and installation and configuration of ISNS appliances such as various different types of switches. - Prepared test cases, wrote procedures, and reported findings in accordance with SPAWAR technical reporting formats.- Performed many Developmental Engineering Plant (DEP) tests involving systems such as GCCS-M, AEGIS, ACDS, and ADSI. Not only testing but installing and configuring the various systems and ISNS appliances.- Conducted compliance and security testing on both GCCS-M 3.X and 4.X systems in order to verify that the segments were in compliance with the established DISA compliancy standards.- Conducted functional testing on both GCCS-M 3.X and 4.X systems for quality assurance of the final delivered product.After 2008 I moved out of just the arena of functional testing into becoming a member of the MGF Product Support Team where I expanded my knowledge, and increased my usefulness directly to the customer. Here’s what accomplishments and skill sets I’ve earned since late 2008 up to September of 2012: - Working with ships in the fleet I’ve been able to grasp a better understanding of ISNS networking as a whole and help other programs better use what is provided under ISNS not only from just a GCCS-M perspective but a C4I perspective in making way for CANES. With this information I have been able to start helping the MGF integration and functional testing labs create and maintain better test suites.

- Operations Specialist /GCCS-M Operator / Combat Information Center Watch Supervisor.- Reported status of tactical systems and operations to command authorities at sea .- Supervised watch teams of 20 personnel.- Operated and taught GCCS-M.- Have experience working with GCCS-M/J, OTCIXS/TADIXS, Link, VIPER/WebSked, and IT-21/COMPOSE workstations.- Intel/tactical reporting functions. - Coordinated special programs (classified).- Acted as the Secret Control Officer for the command.- Coordinated visits by contract technical representatives (SPAWAR).
