Thorough knowledge maintained of the NI Railways Rulebook and Railway Group StandardsTraining and assessment of On-track machine operators (Operational driving duties only) within the NI Railways Competence Management SystemTraining and assessment of Train Drivers / Trainee Train Drivers for both passenger and ballast train operation within the NI Railways Competence Management SystemTraining and assessment of Depot Drivers (2012 - 2013)Develop, design and promote risk based learning from operational accidents and incidents and identify trends and prevention strategiesInvestigate operational incidents and staff accidents to a high standard and identify areas in need of continuous improvementAnalyse OTDR download data for incident investigation and summarise conclusionsKey role within the NI Railways Low-Adesion Strategy ensuring the Sandite vehicle is ready for service and all training is provided for both the Drivers and GuardsSupervise the Train Driving staff, including unannounced monitoring, which consists of random cab visits and speed gun monitoringDevelop, design and promote the Train Driver newsletter and associated incident notices and postersDevelop support plans for Drivers through one to one meetings.
