Hired as the very first member to form the Relational Migrator team. Now leading a large team of talented engineers in developing MongoDB Relational Migrator, a tool that facilitates and automates most aspects of SQL to MongoDB database migrations. This includes schema denormalisation, data migration and code conversion/generation.Played a central role in designing the backend architecture (utilising Java, Spring and Apache Kafka), creating the codebase and establishing the development process. Nowadays, the role involves an even split between technical work (architecture, tech design, coding) and team management. The latter includes sourcing, hiring, resource and budget planning, Agile, stakeholder management, performance management, and social/work events.

Led a large team of engineers in building, maintaining and operating several Atlassian microservices in AWS. The services constituted a platform that allowed engineering and DevOps insights to be derived from the linkage of two or more entities within the Atlassian ecosystem (e.g. tickets, pages, incidents, etc). The team also developed and operated some of the frontend user-facing functionality powered by the platform. The role included facilitating Agile rituals, project and stakeholder management, hands-on work on small to medium deliverables and all aspects of people management such as performance management, professional and personal growth, interviewing, and onboarding.

Individual contributor to one of Atlassian's biggest and most well-known products: Confluence Server and Data Center. Participated in almost all aspects of product and software development. Led the delivery of several central features (such as rate limiting and CDN support) and worked on many high-profile support cases, sometimes directly with large customers.

Individual contributor to an internal product for log and metrics collection, aggregation and processing. The platform aggregated log data and metrics from countless physical iNAND flash devices running performance and durability tests. Participated in all aspects of product design, architecture, and development, and led several high-profile additions to the product.
