Overall responsibility for Mechanical, Electrical & Instrumentation capability and crossover to existing CS&A organisation.Responsible for all aspects of delivery from Commercial, Cost & Schedule through to Safety, Quality and Human Resource issues. Ensuring that all the components of the Quality Management System are implemented. Managing Client/Customer interface including issue management, technical queries, programme variation identification and request and scope / financial change request processing in a highly regulated environment.

Sellafield Sites

Managing a business change programme team supporting the Sellafield Excellence Plan Strategy across Major Projects Group Programme Management, Project Management, Commercial and Integration of Engineering functions covering 23 specific focus areas across tools and processes, capability, expectations, behaviours and governance including; Project Management Fundamentals & Project Controls, Risk & Contingency ManagementIntegration of Project, Engineering and Commercial Strategies Engineering Accountability for Quality, Cost & Schedule Cost Effectiveness through Discipline and Innovation Contractor Excellence through Effective Oversight & Supply Chain QualityCommercial and Supply Chain Continuous Improvement and Management Programme Management & Project Assurance FrameworkImplementing Change Programmes covering National Audit Office, Public Accounts Committee and HM Treasury audit findings.

Bae Systems Submarines

Overall responsibility for the BAE, Redhall Marine, Barrier Ltd Alliance for the delivery of the Integrated Outfitting Package Programme. Project Management of the Redhall Nuclear Pipe Outfitting Package and Site, Civils and Infrastructure Projects throughout client sites.Responsible and accountable for the delivery and growth opportunities of all major Redhall projects within the BAE Systems Barrow site with a value of £93m (plus additional adhoc works and contract variation scope), reporting to the Business Operations Director.Directly responsible for ~300 staff and contract personnel to deliver to MOD standards and within parent company governance. Ensuring that adequate levels of SQEP and trained staff and labour are maintained to allow activities to proceed as per programme requirements. Responsible for all aspects of the contracts from Commercial, Cost & Schedule through to Safety, Quality and Human Resource issues. Ensuring that all the components of the Project Management Plan and Quality Management Systems are up to date and implemented. Reporting performance at Group Board level.Managing high stakeholder perceptions through a large client organisation utilising continuous improvement plans, active learning from experience, KPIs, commercial discussions, alliance awareness and enhanced communications.

Various Civil Nuclear / Mod Establishments

Introduction and implementation of Primavera P6 as the formal planning tool of the IOP Contract for the Astute Class Nuclear Submarine build programme. Development of Life Cycle Base Lines and Near Term Work Plans totalling £87 million. Design and client acceptance of SPI, CPI, EAC and BCWP reports (Performance Dashboard Reports.)Establishment of vessel specific baseline schedules with robust change management, risk and progress control. Management of the project scope and the prevention of / identification and escalation of scope creep utilising earned value management tools and techniquesIntroduction and implementation of Task Allocation process and work management system including time booking capture process, formal task close out reviews and processing scope/financial variants to the agreed schedule.Development of Life Cycle Base Lines and Near Term Work Plans utilising Primavera and MS Project for all Highly Active Waste Plant Asset Care and Restoration activities and Site Specific Shutdown projects to the value of £139 million.Action of changes to scope and/or expenditure through formal Change Control process including emerging work.Progression of areas of responsibility on a weekly basis including raising and reporting of progress, registering risks and issues, amending time lines and detailing dependencies with preparation of SPI, CPI, EAC, BCWP and variation reports.
