Retired in May 2020 , final position as sales manager (part time) Started in the Timber Merchanting industry in Sept 1977 . Began as an office junior , then progressed through sales rep positions , branch manager appts , to working director and part ownership of an independent timber merchant, plus director and part ownership of a second independent timber merchant . Both subsequently sold to National Merchants in 2007. I continued working for the new owners until leaving to work for the Verdon Timber Group in 2016 , before semi retiring in 2018 . Have now relocated to The Tamar Valley in East Cornwall . Starting working for Bond Timber in April 2022, had forgotten how much I missed it, working with a great team , hopefully I’ve added something . I have vast experience accumulated during more than 40 yrs in the industry , particularly strong on customer inter action , both trade and retail .
