Grew organization from one-part time administrator to staff of six; dramatically increased membership of associations and private real estate firms; increased annual budget from less than $100,000 to $500,000; expanded geographic territory from two counties to seven and added N.C. General Assembly lobbyist. Also served as Executive Director of the Shelter Providers Political Action Committee Enterprise (SPPACE), supporting local and state legislative candidates.

Represented North Carolina state authority chaired by successive N.C. Governors that developed and operates the North Carolina Global TransPark, an innovative intermodal transportation and manufacturing complex in eastern North Carolina. Worked closely with senior state leaders to secure federal funding for runway extension, airport expansion, education and training center development, research projects and military construction project; fostered international relationships for authority; developed awareness about and support for the project within the U.S. Departments of Defense, Transportation and Commerce, as well as the U.S. Congress; assisted in development of regional economic development commission; actively engaged with land use planning, environmental permitting, organizational administration, intergovernmental relations and contracting.
