Current● Community Engagement – Conduct community outreach to educate stakeholders, engage volunteers, and create strategic partnerships, such as facility tours and public speaking opportunities for volunteers.of meals provided, the reduction of food waste, and the community benefits.● Networking: Build and maintain a strong network of contacts within the food industry, including restaurants, supermarkets, caterers, and food manufacturers. ● Event Planning and Coordination: Work with area organizations, schools● Communication: Effectively articulate our organization's mission, goals, and the impact of food donations on the local community. ● Research: Conduct thorough research on potential food donors to understand their surplus food patterns and operational schedules and pair them with potential food recipient non-profit agencies. ● Business Donor Needs: Listen carefully to potential donors for their needs and motivations. Tailor our proposal to show how food donations can benefit them, such as reducing waste, saving on disposal costs, and enhancing their corporate social responsibility image.● Legal Knowledge: Familiar with food safety regulations and liability laws related to food donations in Southern California, including regulations for SB-1383. Address concerns with potential donors and assure them of legal protections.● Proposals: Create proposals for each potential donor. ● Event Planning & Execution: Participate and plan events with local area schools, community organizations, and businesses to host food donation programs and special events that support the food rescue industry.● Community Partnerships: Travel to sites covering SoCal counties (LA, Riverside, San Bernardino, OC) to strengthen our outreach efforts. Help with the recruitment of onboarding for new partners. ● Data Collection and Reporting: Developed a system for tracking and reporting the impact of food donations. Collaborate with marketing.
