• Conducts round-the-clock monitoring of substation equipment, record, analyze readings, report findings, and recommend solutions. • Implement Switching procedures, including during emergency situations based on Substation Operation Procedures. • Prepares and updates substation operation records and reports. • Act as the Safety Coordinator together with RCC/ACC dispatcher during switching operation. • Provide accurate relay indications, interpret, and provide information as to nature and location of fault to expedite the troubleshooting and restoration of faulted lines. • Inform immediately the District and MTD Managers and Supervisors and provide regular updates thru the available communication and in accordance with the NGCP Communication Protocol. • Prepare outage report in the system within the prescribed time.• Participates in the preventive and corrective maintenance of substation equipment (e.g., Annual preventive maintenance and testing, rehabilitation of damaged substation equipment).

• Executes proper switching procedures.• Monitors and records all the operating parameters in the substation and report immediately the defects found during inspection.• Gathers, analyzes & provides relay indications & relevant data to Command Center and other concerned groups during auto-tripping incidents.• Prepares, submits and files reports in compliance to IMS procedure.• Participates in maintenance activities in the substation and implements safety protocols.

• Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize multiple responsibilities.• Effective communication skills.• Self-motivated and determine to adopt and learn new skills.• Have knowledge in Microsoft Office (Advance in Word and PowerPoint and Excel)• Ability to make electrical designs and layouts technically and beginner in using AutoCAD designing.

Assist the Substation Engineers on the following activities in: • Conducting hourly monitoring and reading at the control room and roving within the switchyard for Daily Operational Log Sheet.• Orientation of equipment found inside the control room and within the switchyard. • Opening and reclosing of 230 Kilovolts and 69 Kilovolts Disconnect Switches during maintenance shutdown.• Turning ON/OFF Transformer’s Cooling Fans.• Creating Maintenance Tagging Request such as Caution tags and Danger tags during maintenance shutdown.
