Independent social care management consultancy working with local authorities and others to support and improve children’s services. I have secured work with: • South East Sector Led Learning Partnership • Coaching assignment with senior children’s services manager I am negotiating with local authorities and an independent fostering agency about potential assignments.

The leadership and strategic management of all Children’s Services delivered by the council. This included: • Early help services • Safeguarding/child protection services• Children in need and preventative services• Looked after children • Integrated youth services (including youth offending team) Key achievements in this role included: • Developing a ground breaking recruitment and retention package for social workers• Strong local response to CSE and missing children • Developing and implementing quality assurance strategy• Positive safeguarding and looked after children Ofsted inspection

Management and leadership of all Children’s Services long term teams for children and young people including: • Family support (child protection and court work) • Looked after children services (including field work, leaving care and permanency teams)• Practice development and service innovation • Responsibility for key budgets
