As an owner and operator of Port Dover Service Centre, I was responsible for a lot of the daily functions, as well as overseeing all employees and work being done in the shop. Many of my daily duties included customer service, purchasing of parts and equipment, communicating with sales representatives, scheduling the appropriate amount of work for each day, and overseeing work completed by other technicians employed by the business. When possible, I would also complete mechanical work on customer’s vehicles in the shop. By working alongside our technicians in an efficient manner, it allowed them to be as productive as possible.

As a partner in this start-up company. I was involved in purchasing quality used Engines Transmissions Power Take-offs to be remanufactured and sold to clients all over North America. Daily duties consisted of disassembling, checking specifications of used parts for the rebuild stage. I also became involved in installation of these engines into Fishing Boats, Tug Boats, Cranes, Industrial Units such as High Pressure Washers and Large Vacuum Trucks. At times I could be called to work on an emergency breakdown. Were I would work all night until the job is complete.

Sandblasting and Painting company that I started from the ground up. I looked after acquiring contracts and collecting the money. I was hands on with the painting and sandblasting. Making sure we had correct equipment to get the job done with a profit. I handled to recruitment and the dismissal of employees. At times I could have up to 10 men working for me. I sold this business.
