Principle duties are software quality assurance validation of connected car datalogger devices. Responsible for monitoring and improving testing methodologies for both benchtop and in-vehicle QA software testing.

In this position, I am responsible for investigating, planning and implementing the more complex improvements to current medical system products as well as improving manufacturing processes that directly affect safety, quality and productivity with the end result of producing a better quality medical product more efficiently. Primary responsibility is planning and executing verification and validation activities of new design changes that resulted in three successful design transfer implementations. Result: Three successful 510K submissions to the FDA.

Hardware validation engineer for the induction lighting business unit. Business unit closed in September 2014.

Responsible for creating and performing software safety test and validation plans for automotive brake systems. All test plans are derived from customer and internal software requirement specifications as well as functional and architectural documentation. Result: Successful software emulation and validation test of an automotive brake control module.

Research and create new electronic peripheral hardware systems designs. Action: Created control modules that run municipal street lighting systems with reduced energy costs. Designed a project that is a combination switching power supply, power line meter and a programmable DC-DC converter using the SPICE tool for circuit simulation during development. Developed testing requirements for new design and control systems that improved testing efficiency and reduced post-testing time. Result: Products with lower unit costs.

Provide database management services for the Electronics Powertrain Software DevelopmentGroup. The process involved:Maintenance and entry of MSCRs, ASCRs and Bug Reports for both MCM and ACMin the change document records. Also, ensured that all agreed upon name formatsfor document records and files were respected by all software feature sponsors.Assured that all pertinent documents from a change requester was submitted to me and uploaded into the database. All change documents were reviewed for omissionsand errors and notifications of the errors are sent to the sponsors for corrections.Directly responsible for the database "Change Management" process as a MSCR, ASCR or Bug Report was transitioned form a submitted request to a validated closure.Responsible to maintain a system of notification to sponsors to urge them to complete a software feature validation and closure of any outstanding implemented features (i.e. MSCR, ASCR and Bug Reports).Responsible for organization and creation of target builds for the release software from Continental/Temic (software supplier). A baseline build is prepared by a desktop client and placed as a released workset in the database.Provided the testing and reliability group with periodic help with MCM hardware-in-the-loop testing of software features as well as the writing of field test plans to exercise various features of the MCM module. This included CANbus communications and calibratable fuel maps.

Worked on postproduction testing and troubleshooting of contract Manufactured electronic circuit board products. Provided quality assurance data collection via Microsoft Access for product process improvement. Responsible for the design, fabrication and implementation of Test apparatus and fixtures for new contracted product. This also involves the selection and implementing of test application software.Establish a line of communications with Federal ADP a major customer of Lectronics to identify problem issues as an aid to product improvement. Designed and implement a test fixture to rapidly test and certify a Federal ADP control circuit board assembly.

Developed testing strategies that allowed customers to self-test new VME product. Test routines were developed with "C" compilers such as, Borland C++, Microsoft Visual C++ and QuickC. Created, organized and implemented Demand Flow Manufacturing Operational Method Sheets. Responsible for maintaining and monitoring the revision of all demand flow documentation from assembly line changes and engineering change orders. Was involved in a 6 month project that resulted in an ISO9000 approved Manufacturing Workmanship Standards manual. Achieved a Xycom quality improvement award that recognized manufacturing process improvement.
