Engineering functional and project management of technical teams involved with the development of advanced medical imaging scanners. Responsible for the management of electrical, mechanical, software, and verification engineers through the product creation process (Tollgate). Involved with all aspects of product creation including directing and contributing to activities such as product requirement specifications, design documents, design reviews, vendor management, budgetary planning and tracking, scheduling of resources for projects, risk management of projects, and verification of deliverables of projects. Responsible for technical reviews to ensure key requirement and goals of research and development cycle are met. Responsible for research and analysis of new technologies applicable for product design. Responsible for managing sustaining activities of electrical products due to part obsolesce. Responsible for synchronizing engineering activities and deliverables with other business functional areas (marketing, purchasing, manufacturing). Responsible for reporting projects’ status on bi-weekly bases at VP level.Key Accomplishments Include:• Functionally managed and grew electrical and software team from 4 people to over 24 people. Through careful hiring, coaching, training and leadership activities team was groomed to insure that work products were of a high quality and timelines were consistently met. • Successfully lead multiple concurrent NPI projects with time lines ranging from weeks to 24 months and project headcount and equipment budgets totaling $20MM. • Awarded management awards for my efforts at completing business critical projects on time.• Successfully lead development of multiple CT/PET medical scanner development projects. Directed system, electrical, mechanical, software and manufacturing teams from the marketing concept stage through production lots.
