I’ve been around the trucking industry my entire life. My father had me driving, just a little, at 14 years old. Got my chauffeurs license shortly after my 18th birthday. Then I joined the Navy. 4 years later I’m in college, and working at Berger transfer and storage, bills need to be paid. In 1979 I decided to go the road as an owner-operater. It hasn’t always been just driving as a lease driver. I had my own authority and did specialized and car hauling, logging in th UP, fracking in ND.Took time off to serve on my city council, both as councilman and mayor. While doing that I designed and built wetland dock systems and floating docks. My wife and I owned a retail store ,beachwear, snowboards,skateboards and the like.And here I am 40 years later, 68 years later, not ready to retire. Not looking for another driving job.
