About Mark Harrison
I have been involved in active bio-medical device research and development for several decades, starting with early developments in cochlea implants. My R&D skills are in analog and digital electronics design and assembly, embedded software development, RF communications, product design for both general research and implantable devices.In particular I love taking ideas from the research lab and turning them into practical and elegant prototypes that are another step closer to commercialisation in the biomedical domain.I am currently invoved with development of fNIRS & EEG systems targeting various health monitoring and diagnostic applications at the Bionics Institute.My interests in tES/tACS electrical brain stimulation for better mental health care has lead to my involvement is startups that are developing at-home treatment devices. In my spare time I enjoy the competitive and technical aspects of amateur radio, and developing hands on mechanical engineering skills.
