I started working life at wimpy construction as a Carpenter and Joiner. I was placed with a company called Lilly and hill,Middlesbrough. I worked there for 3 1/2 years. However my ambition was always to join the Army, I enlisted in 1992. I served in many parts of the world, becoming a JNCO, after 9 years I left the Army. I returned to previous roll as a Joiner with Miidlesbrough Council. In October 2003 I moved to my current employer Beyond Housing, formally Coast and Country Housing. I am a Service Team Leader working with a really good team. on many different projects. I am responsible for 19 men and women including 3 apprentices. The roll is really diverse, ranging from cyclical pre-paint and painting in a 7 cycle of 10500 homes (which is the the company's Stock in the North) we also work on a Empty homes scheme, which brings empty properties back in to our housing stock. My self and Team organising full or part refurbishment. There is also a number of other project I work on with my Team, including working with Principle Contractors on many different projects ensuring they are completed to the clients requirements, that meet the company and customer standards.
