Mark Healey specializes in providing practical solutions to common planning problems. He has extensive experience in a variety of planning, zoning and land development matters and has consulted numerous public and private clients in New York and New Jersey. Mr. Healey has experience in all aspects of the comprehensive planning process including master plan preparation, facilitation of committee meetings and visioning sessions, and presentation at public hearings and community workshops. He has extensive experience in the preparation of practical and effective land development regulations covering a wide range of issues including religious uses, commercial design standards, redevelopment planning, use and bulk requirements, parking requirements, signage and billboards, and wireless telecommunications facilities. During his career, Mr. Healey has provided planning consultation to several dozen municipal clients in New York and New Jersey addressing various planning and land development issues including the review of more than a thousand land development applications ranging from simple variance requests to extremely large-scale, complicated and controversial development proposals. Mr. Healey is currently employed with Franklin Township in Somerset County as Township Planner and Director of the Planning and Zoning Department. Mr. Healey started his professional career at Frederick P. Clark Associates, Inc., Rye, NY, where he served as consulting planner to various municipal clients in the lower Hudson Valley and Long Island. Prior to his employment with Franklin Township, Mr. Healey served as Senior Planner with Heyer, Gruel & Associates, where he served as planning consultant to numerous public and private clients in New Jersey.B.S. in Environmental Planning & Design and a Certificate in GIS - with Honors from Cook College, Rutgers University. Master of Regional Planning - Land Use Planning and Growth Management concentration from UNC - Chapel Hill.
