On a day-to-day basis, I work with scripting and SQL to ensure data flows to the correct endpoint. Our Student and HR information systems are both Skyward systems running on PostgreSQL. I guarantee that the data that vendors need is sent on schedule and without errors. I also keep track of the data we are sending to avoid FERPA violations. I have also overseen the installation of the District IP Phone system to all eighteen campuses. I have worked with network infrastructure such as switches, access points, and wireless controllers.

Worked on customers' networks, phone systems, and security issues. Designed and implemented solutions for physical and wireless networking. Installed and troubleshot phone systems to meet customer requirements. Worked with security devices focusing primarily on Checkpoint Firewalls. With some secondary work with security cameras.

Set up the WAN for a group of waste disposal companies that were purchased and merged into Teris. This included offices in Texas, Arkansas, and California. plus connections to the parent company in France. At the start, the responsibility was to get the Cisco equipment onsite and coordinate the installation of the WAN links, at the time we were using T1 links. Once the Cisco equipment was onsite I would either go to the site and install it or ship it to a local contractor and complete the installation. As we finished the merger and brought more sites online I spent more time working with CheckPoint Firewalls for security and video conferencing appliances.

In this position, I was in charge of making computers ready for new employees, I also troubleshot any issues a user might have had with a machine and inventoried all computers and monitors.

Installed wireless leak detection systems for underground tanks to keep them within EPA regulations.

Installed and troubleshot networks from layer one to layer three. Installed many types of cabling from coax and Twinax through twisted pair and fiber optic. Worked with cable management solutions to ensure tidy rack spaces. Worked with early long-distance wireless products placing antennas on roofs, guide wire towers, and free-standing towers. Also took part in the building of both kinds of towers. Assisted with computer and server upgrades. troubleshot network issues and began working with Cisco routers and switches.
