At Social Talent my role includes - well it sort of changes every couple of weeks - but most of the time I spend working with customers from Tullow to Timbuktu to help them be better at what they do. My main focus in SocialTalent is selling to and developing relationships with some of the biggest businesses in the world. Its all enterprise level sales which has given me brilliant exposure and experience to leadership teams in the US, UK, Europe and further afield.The role itself requires me to work through the full sales cycle from outbound business development, through the sales funnel to negotiating contracts and closing business. How do I do that I hear you ask? Well first and foremost I use our own Social Selling course to guide me in the right direction by taking in theories from recruitment, psychology and digital marketing to name just a few. The rest comes from good recruitment, sales and account management experience that I have built up.As Social Talent is a fast growing start-up (can we still call it that?!) I worked as a Recruitment Consultant in CPL on the Technical Engineering team. Here I recruited for contract and permanent Engineering roles across Ireland with some exposure to international recruitment.I am am a fully certified recruiter through the NRF (National Recruitment Federation) here in Ireland. I worked across a range of industries including, but not limited to, Pharma/Biotech, Medical Device, Electronics and FMCG. Working in such a tight marked meant that finding passive candidates was the most important aspect of the role. This meant using the most up to date sourcing techniques across multiple platforms to find, attract and engage with candidates. Once there was engagement, it was all about the building of trust and relationships with the candidates so we could work together to find them their new role.Once I was in a position to build relationships with candidates and begin to work on getting them in front of hiring managers the next step was to go and win business for CPL. This included attending trade shows, cold calling businesses of all shapes and sizes and even going out on the road knocking on doors.
