Director of Training and Exercises for Joint Forces Headquarters-National Capital Region and Military District of Washington responsible for identifying training requirements, based on the mission and training status of the organization, and developing several multi echelon training exercises on an annual basis to assist U.S. Northern Command and the Department of Homeland Security to prepare for multiple contingencies within the Washington D.C. area. Similarly responsible for determining training requirements and allocation of resources for an organization of over 3,000 people so they could organize and conduct internal training or obtain and allocate quotas for external training. Deputy for planning, training, and operations for an over 2,000-person task force with components and organizations located worldwide conducting partnership exercises with America’s closest allies.

Led a staff managing a 669-person Battalion with an operating budget of $5 million that executed over 3,000 annual tactical, ceremonial, memorial affairs, contingency missions and training exercises in the Washington D.C. area. Responsible for synchronizing planning across multiple organizational staff sections, including human resources, budget, logistics, operations, equipment maintenance, risk management, and medical operations. Human resources responsibilities including selecting, developing, mentoring, disciplining and rewarding employees. Managed multiple organizational programs and projects.

Fairbanks, Alaska

Managed an operations directorate of 15 people responsible for planning coordination of operations and training for a 694 soldier organization with over 60 vehicles. Developed the two year operational and training plan based on guidance from the commander while leading a staff to help coordinate and synchronize our activities with multiple other agencies for resources, supplies, and logistics.
