Provide support in all aspects of emergent and breakdown maintenance to Taqa Bratani Cormorant Alpha . Coordinate and support the installation in the preparation and execution of large planned and unplanned maintenance activities. Provide operational input to the Asset Integrated Activity Plans (IAP), ensuring that changes to IAP activities are identified in a timely manner and that consequences are mitigated and reflected in an updated IAP. Liaise with the Hub Team members, Discipline Engineers & Technical Authorities to ensure alignment of additional maintenance activities in the event equipment failures to maximize opportunities. Support management of business improvement and change. This includes the follow up from reviews and audits and providing support with hazard analysis as well as providing support in incident investigation as requested

Provide Mechanical support to both Montrose and Arbroath Platforms, This primarily involved the interface between platform and the various vendors that are required to carry out repair and modification work to platform equipment. I was heavily involved with the pre-task planning and preparation of planned Shutdowns.

Employed on the Montrose Alpha Platform, where I was solely responsible for the running of the mechanical department. To carry out this job I needed to be fully conversant with all Talisman procedures and systems including T-max, infocore and the ISSOW system, as well as Isolation and Area Authority. All of which I was and still am. A large part of the job is planning, whether it is simply planning work for the day / nightshift or planning for a major shut down. The department were responsible for the ordering of spare parts and additional manpower. The department budget is also a main part of the role as each supervisor is responsible for maintaining this. One of the main roles is to ensure the technicians within the department have and receive the relevant training to comply with Talisman Energy’s competency requirements, this includes assessing NVQ and site based competency schemes. As part of this I trained to become an A1 assessor in Mechanical Engineering.
