Colonel Mark Lim is a pilot with the Republic of Singapore Air Force.He is currently serving as a Programme Director in the headquarters of Ministry of Defence. He started his career in the Air Force with a scholarship to pursue Aeronautical Engineering in the University of New South Wales. Over the last twenty years, he has taken on a range of operational and staff roles, including strategic planning in the Air Plans Department, Flight Commander in a F16 Operational Squadron and Commander of the Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Group. Prior to his current role, he served as the Commander of Paya Lebar Airbase, home of the F-15SG and C130 fleets. He was also appointed as Head Air Intelligence to helm intelligence operations, Defence Relations with other partner air forces, as well as to direct security policies and regulations in the Air Force. Beyond the Air Force, he has served as part of the Management Committee of SAFRA, a social organisation for Nsmen with more than 600,000 members, from 2019-2023. He is currently a director on the board of Sembcorp Specialised Construction. Mark is an avid endurance athlete. He enjoys endurance sporting events. In his spare time, he loves to read and meditate.
